BLUE AND GOLD.  Please encourage family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to take advantage of ordering Blue and Gold items (bacon, sausage, chicken).  ORDER DEADLINE EXTENDED to Wednesday, February 22.  You must collect payment at order time – not after.  Convenient curb-side delivery at Lee to your car on delivery date.  This is not a school competition.  Instead, we all can enjoy a home cooked meal from these tasty products.  Contact Melinda Kayser with questions. 

YEARBOOK.  Preorder your 2011-12 yearbook for $16.  Order information coming soon.  Guarantees that you will receive a yearbook (last year we ran out!). One yearbook included in 5th grade $35 promotion fee.  If you have pictures for the yearbook or wish to purchase an ad (personal or business - $10 to $40), contact Julie Haney .

SCIENCE ENRICHMENT.  Volunteers needed for March 2nd Science Enrichment.  Dissections – 4th grade will dissect eyes, 5th grade will dissect brains.  Fascinating stuff and fun to teach.  Contact Michelle to volunteer, as little as one class or as much as all day!

CARNIVAL.  April will be here before we know it.  And to celebrate our fantastic school year, the PTA will host Carnival on Saturday, April 28 from 4-6:30.  WE NEED VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS.  If you would like to help on the organizing committee, if you would like to build a carnival game, work a shift at a carnival game, serve food/snacks, sell tickets…anything…please let us know!  We will also need donations of very gently used toys or gadgets for BINGO prizes.  The more help we have, the more successful Carnival will be.  Next committee meeting open to all who are interested – Tuesday, February 21 from 7-8 pm.  Contact  Heidi.  

Lee Kindergarrten soccer team. We have some players but wanted to open it up to all the kindergarteners.  We have to have the team formed and turned in by Feb. 23. Interested?  Contact Jana Simmons

TRIPLE  CROWN  UPDATE:

ST. PATRICK’S DAY RUN:  Saturday, March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day!)  43rd & Peoria   8:15 a.m.
The green entry forms for the first Spring Triple Crown Run were sent home 2 weeks ago and extra entry forms are available in the LEE Office, Gym or download here. The entry forms are due 
THIS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16! 
I know this is early, but they need the school teams in early!  This run is on the first weekend of Spring Break---so if you are going to be in Tulsa—PLEASE consider signing up for this run!  The St. Patrick’s Day Run benefits Oklahoma Special Olympics and is A LOT of FUN! 
School Team prize $$ is $500 for 1st--$300 for 2nd--$200 for 3rd!
You will only count on the LEE TEAM if you sign up through Mrs. H. so don’t be late!  Thank you!
