The Summer Reading Program promotes and challenges
students to read during the summer. Every student receives a reward for
participating in the LEE Summer Reading Program.
Do you enjoy fiction,
non-fiction, mysteries, fantasy, action and adventure stories or poetry?
Summer time is a great time to take a break from the heat and sit down and
relax and read. Set a reading goal and start reading!
To Get Started:
-
During the summer, keep track of the books you read, and the books
that are read to you. Use the reading log from PTA or make your own. You
must keep track of what you read to qualify for recognition. Logs must
be turned in by September 1.
-
Turn in your reading log in the summer reading box in the library
during the first 2 weeks of school next fall. Only books read between
may 26th and August 22nd count.
-
Read or exceed your reading goals and get some fabulous surprises at
our assembly in September. The Lee class with the greatest participation
in the Lee Summer Reading Program will win a cookie party!
-
Books you read can count for more than 1 reading program. Earn your
reading medal at the Tulsa Public Library. Book stores in town also have
reading programs.
